Privacy Policy

This policy explains what daysuntil.me does and does not do with your information. The short version: we have no accounts, we never see the dates you count down to, and the only data collected about you is collected by Google in order to show advertising.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not ask for, and cannot see:

• Your name, email address or any contact details
• The custom dates and events you enter into the countdown tool — these are calculated in your browser and never sent to us
• Any account or login information, because there are no accounts
• Payment details, because nothing on the site is paid

2. How the Countdown Works

Every countdown on this site is calculated locally by your own browser using your device clock. When you enter a custom date, that date is never transmitted to our servers. If you close the page, it is gone.

3. Advertising and Cookies

daysuntil.me is free to use and is funded by advertising. We use Google AdSense to display ads. This means:

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
• Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet.
• You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info/choices.
• Opting out does not remove ads — it means the ads you see are less likely to be tailored to you.

4. Server Logs

Like virtually every website, our hosting provider records standard request logs — IP address, browser type, referring page and timestamp. These are used to keep the site running and to detect abuse. They are not combined with any other information and are not used to build a profile of you.

5. Your Rights (GDPR and CCPA)

Because we hold no personal data about you, there is normally nothing for us to export or delete. Where Google acts as a data controller for advertising, your rights are exercised through the Google links in section 3. If you are in the EU, UK or California and believe we hold information about you, you may contact us and we will respond within 30 days.

6. Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

7. Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the “last updated” date above will change with it. Material changes to how advertising works on the site will be described here before they take effect.
